To capture more than just the standard job titles, we asked each teammate to write another’s bio. Framed around five key prompts, they reveal not only what we do, but who we are…
The first thing you’ll notice about Anna-Leigh is her effortlessly classy vibe; like she’s just stepped straight out of a Pinterest board. There’s a calm, stylish confidence about her that makes her instantly memorable. And then there’s her voice: soothing, warm, and reassuring enough to put anyone at ease (we’re pretty sure it could calm a feral cat!)
Anna-Leigh has been part of the team for 9 years, bringing her creativity, attention to detail, and calm efficiency to every project. Her career path is nothing if not eclectic, and it’s exactly what makes her so invaluable. She first qualified as a legal secretary and worked for the Clerk to the Justice before moving into banking, where she gained experience across The Woolwich, Barclays, Cheltenham & Gloucester, and Lloyds. From there, she became an office manager and PA to directors at a community interest company, running everything from payroll to keeping the whole office on track.
Alongside her professional career, she’s never stopped learning and creating. She’s completed courses in interior design at the Inchbald School in London, trained in floristry and even ran a side business making celebration cakes when her children were young.
All of that has culminated in her role at LARK, where she’s basically the Fairy Godmother of Marketing. Got a design dilemma? Branding emergency? Existential creative crisis? Anna-Leigh’s already on it, mood boards at the ready and a colour palette that somehow matches your soul. She manages our network of contractors; from photographers and videographers to writers and board suppliers and has a big influence on LARK’s overall presence online and everything branding. She’s so well-versed in each of the properties we bring to market that she’s beautifully placed to sell them. Talking to buyers, organising viewings, and booking valuations are all in a day’s work, though you can bet she’s already eyeing up how to help the seller with presentation before the ink is even dry on the appointment.
And she doesn’t just sit behind a desk. Anna-Leigh is the first to roll up her sleeves, from physically helping clients prepare their homes with interior styling and decluttering, to calling in trusted contractors when a bigger job needs tackling before marketing. She’s even been hired on completion day to provide those much-needed extra pairs of hands during what can be one of the most stressful days in the moving journey.
Anna-Leigh approaches her work with quiet focus and a methodical mindset. Detail-obsessed (in the best possible way), she has a gift for staying organised without ever making a fuss. Even when one of the design programmes she uses to showcase homes decides to throw the odd gremlin her way, by the time you’ve noticed, she’s already handled it.
For Anna-Leigh, each property is unique, with its own story to tell. She takes the time to capture its personality and can decide the best way to showcase it, combining her creative eye with her meticulous attention to detail. Reliable, patient, and persistent, she makes complex tasks look easy and ensures every home is shown off at its very best.
Clients and teammates rely on Anna-Leigh for her calmness, kindness, and steady stream of good ideas. With her great taste and eye for detail, she’s often the one inspiring the team; not to mention spoiling us with her baked goods. Honestly, if she ever left, we’d need three people (and a part-time caterer) to fill her shoes.
For clients, Anna-Leigh brings that same thoughtful approach. She appreciates that a seller’s home is their castle and makes sure their ideas are heard and reflected in how the property is presented. That balance isn’t always easy, but she manages it with sensitivity and a whole lot of patience. Selling clients quickly become well acquainted with Anna-Leigh in the lead-up to the launch their home on to the market, and they can always count on her reliability and attention to detail. Alongside shaping day-to-day marketing campaigns, she also keeps the office running smoothly, assisting sellers and buyers, and organising viewings and valuations with her calm, no-fuss manner.
‘The Kindness Conspiracy’
Anna-Leigh’s superpower? Being so lovely it’s almost suspicious. We keep waiting for her villain origin story, because surely no one can be that kind, patient, and thoughtful all the time… right? Yet somehow, she is.
